Return Of The Beacon We did it ! We left the beacon standing. Despite the lack of faith and trust expressed by some people (rude man; plays the mandolin) the East Hill beacon was successfully re-ignited on Sunday April 30th. following its 'refurbishment' by HBC. The new steel extension took the beacon back to its original height and provided the necessary gap between the fire basket and the wooden post - proved to be effective 'cos we didn't 'arf have a little furnace burning up there. So there we are folks, the much maligned 'Beacon Two' are not so daft. Now about that damn Moseley Award! Guess who wrote that and provided the pictures - many thanks once again.
